Requesting Your Fiber Connection

Signing up and completing the online Property and Access Waiver authorizes Broadlinc’s contractor to install the fiber connection (“drop”) from the public fiber route to your property. For waivers signed before the deadline, there is no charge for this fiber installation for eligible project locations. After the grant window, property owners will be responsible for future connection.

Before fiber can be installed on private property, Broadlinc must receive written permission from the property owner to access the property and complete the underground installation. No fiber connection to private property will occur without a completed waiver form from the property owner.

Broadlinc’s contractor will coordinate installation activity as crews move from mainline construction into property connections. Broadlinc and its contractors work to minimize impacts and restore disturbed areas as construction is completed. Placement of the fiber route on your property will be determined with you at the time of installation.

Timeline

  • Return signed waiver as soon as possible
  • Full project construction is estimated to be complete in the Fall of 2026
  • Internet Service Providers can offer service after installation is complete

Activating Internet Service

Broadlinc builds and owns the public benefit open access fiber network but does not directly sell internet service. After your property connection is complete, service can be requested and activated through one of Broadlinc’s participating internet providers.

Residents can find service provider details, service options, and pricing at on our network page.

Who is Broadlinc?

Broadlinc is the Spokane Regional Broadband Development Authority, a public entity established under Washington State law (RCW 35.21.730–.755) to support the development and expansion of broadband infrastructure throughout Spokane County.

As part of this mission, Broadlinc, its contractors, and its utility partners may perform construction activities within public rights-of-way, utility easements, and other authorized locations where broadband infrastructure is permitted to be installed, operated, maintained, repaired, and upgraded.

Do they have permission for this construction?

Rights-of-way and utility easements are legally established areas that allow public entities like Broadlinc, utilities, and other authorized infrastructure providers to construct and maintain facilities that serve the public.

These areas often extend beyond the paved roadway and may include portions of property frontage adjacent to private property. Construction activities are conducted pursuant to applicable easements, permits, licenses, franchise agreements, and other legal authorizations.
